Welcome to darinwaters.com. Here you will find information about my work as the Executive Director of the UNC Asheville Office of Community Engagement, an Associate Professor of History, and as the Co-Host of the Waters and Harvey Radio Show and Podcast.
After years of work, both inside and outside the academy, I have developed a deep appreciation for the role that history plays in our everyday lives. Understanding our past and the narratives that we create to tell the stories of our past, has significant bearing on our understanding of the world we live in
today.
